"The book was so engrossing
that I read it at one sitting. Even though it is written as a novel
in a modern setting, to me it seemed to be so real and true. I
have been to and given programs on healing
and deliverance in perhaps all the cities and countries mentioned
in the novel. The personages mentioned under different names seem
familiar to me, the drama that is unfolded
is one I am familiar with, and above all the doctrinal thesis that
stands out so clearly and forcefully is one that is so biblically,
theologically and pastorally true. If Harry Potter is obviously
fiction, the Lucifer Covenant is stranger than fiction because
it is so true both
to the teaching of the Church on spiritual warfare and to the stark
reality of the actual spiritual warfare of today."

"One
of the most urgent needs of our time is the evangelization
of the contemporary imagination--an imagination all too often formed
by forces profoundly hostile to the Christian faith. In
its own quiet way this work of fantasy literature seeks to
provide a corrective to this problem. In one of its aspects
The Lucifer Covenant might be regarded as an attempt to provide
an orthodox Christian alternative to anti-Christian fantasies
such as Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code."

Jackson
and Varghese have written a fast paced action and adventure story steeped
in religious significance. The minions of the devil are bent on destroying
the remnants of the exorcists for they are the only force that can
stop the complete subjugation of the Earth by Satan. An aging, humble
simple priest finds himself at the vortex of cosmic forces as he quests
to discover the seven secrets that will ultimately defeat evil. Helped
by Opus Dei and his faithful companion Miguel, Father Santos must work
assiduously and prayerfully to fulfill his destiny. This book is fast
paced, well plotted and thought provoking.
